WHAT TO EXPECT WITH YOUR ORDER
The tubers are packed in labeled baggies with some type of substrate: vermiculite/peat moss/wood shavings. The bags are left partially open ON PURPOSE to allow the tubers to breathe and prevent moisture build up. We do not recommend storing tubers in closed plastic bags. Best to leave them open a bit.
Upon arrival, be sure to store the tubers in a cool dry place until planting time (with the baggies unzipped halfway). DO NOT store them in an area that could freeze. Even a single night in a freezing garage can ruin a tuber (we know this from experience).
We sell individual tubers, not clumps. We do our best to only sell our best tubers to you. We keep all the “funky” ones for our own fields.
Tuber sizes vary wildly, depending on the variety. Bigger tuber DOES NOT equal bigger plant.
Tubers are inspected multiples times during storage and should have at least one eye. Please allow up to 5-6 weeks after planting for the tuber to grow. Depending on variety, some tubers are slow and don’t sprout until July.
We are not responsible for loss due to weather conditions, pest/critter damage or incorrect storage conditions.
You have two options for “Delivery Methods” at checkout. The first is for “Store Pickup”. This is the same as local farm pick up. This local pick up option will be at our booth at the Scituate Farmers Market and is only available on Saturday May 11th from 9am-12. We cannot accommodate alternative pick up dates, so if that doesn’t work for you, please choose the shipping option.
The second option is “USPS Priority”. All shipping is done through 2-day USPS Priority Mail. All orders will ship within a few days of receiving your order as the weather is finally cooperating and we don’t have to worry about night temps below freezing.
Delivery to U.S. addresses only.
Once an order is placed, it cannot be adjusted, and we are unable to combine shipping on multiple orders.
REFUND POLICY – Please inspect our tubers immediately upon arrival. Refund requests must occur within 7 days of receipt. By purchasing this tuber, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the refund policy.
